Large families, particularly those with several young children, often have a substantial amount of laundry to do each day and each week. A particular challenge is managing the number of pairs of socks that are washed, dried, and then have to be matched together again after the laundry is done. Each week, approximately 70 pairs of socks, some very similar in size, go through the laundry and often get lost and mismatched. Managing other items of clothing can be challenging as well. Your task is to think through the process, consider the varying ages and sizes of children, and create a system that can address this problem. The inclusion of STEM learning is a plus!
