This project aims to reduce transportation costs and increase shipment efficiency by improving how products are packaged/palletized and how pallets/containers/trailers are loaded. A key challenge is the dimensional variability between standard products and accessories, which often leads to inefficient cube utilization. The project will analyze current packaging dimensions and materials, SKU mix, order profiles, and load configurations to generate actionable recommendations—e.g., carton resizing, bundle/inner-pack reconfiguration, pallet patterns, trailer/container loading rules, and ship-set consolidation. The project team will work within the constraints of the manufacturing sites with the opportunity to recommend different machinery. The outcome will be a prioritized roadmap and a decision toolkit (including design guides and load templates) that can be implemented across operations, with measurable ROI.
